The City of Maumee is currently accepting applications for the position of Chief Building Official. The position is responsible for ensuring public safety and health in the administration of state mandated and local codes providing safe buildings in which to work and live. Performs Plan Review and inspections mandated by the State of Ohio and the City including all structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, fire alarm and fire safety. This is a full-time position with a pay rate of $52.60 – $67.50 per hour depending on education and experience. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license, five (5) years of experience, and compliance met with the State of Ohio in accordance with the OAC to be considered.
