The Utility Billing Office is open between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Service will be furnished by the City of Maumee upon application to the Utility Billing Office. Application may be made in person or by phone with no deposit required. Each applicant shall assume full liability for the payment of all water/sewer bills and other charges incidental thereto, and such liability shall not be terminated until the Division of Water takes a final reading from the master meter. No applicant shall be furnished water who is indebted to the Division of Utility Billing, either on the premises for which application is made or any other premises supplied by the Maumee Division of Water. The owner is responsible for all water lines from one foot outside the property line. The valves are also the customer’s responsibility. The meter is maintained by the Division of Water. Since the meter is sealed at the time of installation, the customer should report any broken seal to the Division of Water for repair.

For call-outs made during regular work hours, the customer will be charged for materials only. After regular hours, there is an additional $75.00 charge. In an emergency, you may turn the water off at the meter to prevent flooding. The valves on both sides of the meter should be turned once a year to keep them operational. DO NOT USE FORCE — this could break the valve and cause problems.
