PARTNERS FOR CLEAN STREAMS
Clean Your Streams Day:  Be a part of the Northwest Ohio tradition to remove marine debris from our rivers, streams, and lakes! Clean Your Streams Day (CYS) provides a positive impact on the environment and in our community. For three hours on one day every September, hundreds of volunteers join forces to remove marine debris from over 30 miles of waterways in the greater Toledo area.

Clean Your Streams 365:  Clean Your Streams 365 is a year-round effort for clearer, cleaner waterways! Volunteers choose a time and location to remove marine debris. These clean-ups can be PCS staff-led, or go-on-your-own. In either case, PCS will provide all clean-up supplies, including gloves, trash bags, data cards, and grabbers.

Get the Lead Out (GLO):  Ready, set, GLO! Get the Lead Out (GLO) is designed to remove the discarded fishing lines, lead lures, and marine debris that gets left behind after the spring fishing runs in the Maumee River. Fishing line is made of plastic which doesn’t degrade for over 600 years. It can entangle fish and wildlife, detract from the beauty of the river, and hurt people. We provide all the cleanup supplies, safety instructions, and the cleanup site. In a good year, we typically host 6 sessions throughout the summer; though this program is dependent on weather conditions and water levels.
