The City of Maumee has been notified by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) that I-475 will be closed between US 24 and Dixie Highway for several upcoming weekends, beginning this weekend. Each closure will take place from Friday at 8:00 p.m. through Monday at 6:00 a.m.
The scheduled southbound I-475 closure dates are May 8, May 15, May 29, and June 5. There will be no closure over Memorial Day weekend.
During these periods, ODOT will divert traffic through Uptown Maumee to accommodate the construction work.
With increased traffic expected, the City encourages residents, commuters, and visitors to allow additional travel time, remain alert, and exercise patience throughout the detour.
City staff and public safety personnel will actively monitor conditions to help ensure the community remains safe. The City of Maumee appreciates the public’s cooperation as ODOT completes this necessary infrastructure work.
