Construction on I-475, and accidents on I-475—that reroutes traffic through Maumee—is causing traffic to utilize the Maumee/Perrysburg Bridge more frequently then normal, and, at times, has caused significant backups. The City has modified our plans to test traffic for the winter in an effort to mitigate congestion.
As a result, we have temporarily removed the lane restrictions, in the area of the Maumee/Perrysburg Bridge, to help relieve some of the traffic congestion. Specifically, the test construction cone bump out creating a dedicated right turn lane to East Broadway, at Harrison Street during the winter.
