Territorial and Monetary Jurisdiction
The Maumee Municipal Court was established on January 1, 1964 under the authority of the State of Ohio Revised Code Section 1901.01. The governmental unit of administration is the City of Maumee.
Territorial jurisdiction is all of Lucas County, lying south of the northern boundary of the Ohio Turnpike, consisting of the following: City of Maumee, Village of Waterville, Village of Whitehouse, Providence and Waterville Townships, and those portions of Swanton, Monclova, and Springfield Townships, lying south of the northern boundary of the Ohio Turnpike.
The monetary jurisdiction of the municipal court is a maximum of $6,000.00 for small claim filings and $15,000.00 for civil filings.
