Since 1838, the Maumee Fire Division (MFD) has been deeply committed to the protection of our highly supportive community. We are a thorough professional service, a duty we serve with pride and honor. The MFD has evolved into a new full-time fire department responding to over 2,600 calls annually, including mutual and auto aid, in a growing city of mixed residential, recreational, commercial, and industrial areas. Our Fire Administration consists of the Fire Chief, two Deputy Chiefs, and one Fire Safety Inspector. Our Full-time personnel are assigned to (3) shifts, working 24 hours on duty and 48 hours off duty. There are a total of 21 Full-time employees on shift, with each shift having 1 Lieutenant, 4 Firefighter/Paramedics, and 2 Paramedics. We also have 22 Part-time Firefighter/EMT/Paramedics supplementing our shifts.
Our apparatus fleet consists of 1 engine (pumper), 1 Heavy Rescue, 2 Ladder trucks, 3 ambulances, 2 Rescue Boats, 1 Jet Ski, and several other support vehicles. We also have a large Public Safety Training Center set on 10 acres, including one of the areas only Class A burn buildings.
The MFD consists of one Fire Station, located at 220 Illinois Ave. All Lucas County fire stations are designated numbers to help standardize equipment and response. The MFD is known as “Station 94”. Visitors are welcome Monday through Friday, 7:30 am through 4:00 pm. For other times, please contact us to make an appointment.

The MFD prides itself on serving our citizens, businesses, and visitors 24 hours a day, each and every day. Our staff provides community risk reduction through education, including station tours, first-aid/CPR presentations, safety presentations, and fire truck visits.
