Fireworks will be set off at Orleans Park; choreographed by Cumulus Media
The City of Maumee and the City of Perrysburg will host the traditional Independence Day fireworks on Wednesday, July 3 (rain date is July 5).  Fireworks will begin at 10:00 p.m. and will last approximately 20-25 minutes.

The fireworks will be set off from Orleans Park in Perrysburg. Parking will not be permitted at the park, but pedestrians may sit on the Fort Meigs Memorial Bridge by entering from the Maumee side.

In Maumee, the fireworks blast off on the first evening of the Uptown Music Fest, a 2-day music festival that runs through July 4.

Details and Traffic Pattern for July 3

  • 9:00 a.m. – Conant Street between Broadway and John Streets in Uptown Maumee will close for the Uptown Maumee Music Fest. That portion of Conant, along with portions of Wayne and Dudley Streets, will remain closed through July 4, as the Uptown Music Fest continues for a second day.
  • 7:30 p.m. – Broadway Street in Maumee between Gibbs and Allen Streets will close for the fireworks. The street will reopen when the display is completed, and the pedestrians are cleared.
  • 7:30 p.m. – The Fort Meigs Memorial Bridge and Maumee-Western Reserve Road will be closed to vehicle traffic. The bridge will re-open after the fireworks display is completed and the area has been cleaned of debris. Motorists should plan on using alternate river crossings on I-475 and I-75.
  • 9:00 p.m. – The northbound lane of Fort Meigs Road will be closed to all traffic except emergency vehicles between Eckel Junction Road and West Indiana Avenue. Southbound traffic on Fort Meigs Road will be maintained throughout the event.

American Fireworks Company will set off this year’s display which will be choreographed to music presented by Cumulus Media. The music will be played on four local radio stations: 94.5 WXKR, 93.5 WRQN, Q105 Toledo, and K100. Cumulus will broadcast live from various locations in Perrysburg and Maumee so those watching can also hear the music by listening on the radio or one of the radio station apps (app may have a slight delay).
