The annual Uptown Maumee Music Fest and Family Picnic will take place on Friday, July 3rd, featuring live music and kids’ activities, and a spectacular fireworks show.

Uptown Maumee Music Fest: Live music begins at 5:00 PM and continues until 11:30 PM.  The live music lineup is:

  • 5-6 pm                         Distant Cousinz
  • 6:15-7:15 pm              Beef Carvers
  • 7:30-8:30 pm              My 80s Vice
  • 9-11:30 pm                 Arctic Clam (break from 10-10:30 for fireworks)

Family Picnic: From 5 to 9 PM, enjoy loads of family fun before the fireworks show with classic carnival games, putt-putt golf, giant inflatables, an obstacle course, and a slide.

Food & Drinks: 17 delicious food trucks will be on hand, offering both sweet & savory options. Also, this year’s festival will feature two beer-and-soda trailer sites.

 

Independence Day Fireworks: At approximately 10 PM, the traditional Maumee/Perrysburg fireworks will blast off from Perrysburg near the Fort Meigs Memorial Bridge.

Uptown Bars & Restaurants: Local bars & restaurants will be busy serving food & drinks, and patrons over 21 may purchase an adult beverage to enjoy while strolling throughout Uptown, thanks to DORA (Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area) participating establishments.

 

 

Additional Information: Traffic Pattern/Street Closures

 

At 7 a.m.: the bridge will close to pedestrian and bike traffic. This is needed to maintain a safety zone/perimeter, which includes the bridge.

AT NOON

  • Conant Street between Broadway and John Streets
  • 100 blocks of E. & W. Dudley
  • 100 blocks of E. & W. Wayne
  • Anthony Wayne Trail at Conant Street will be closed to southbound traffic

 

 

7:00 pm

  • The Fort Meigs Memorial Bridge will close to vehicle traffic. The bridge will reopen after the fireworks display is completed and the area has been cleared of debris
  • Broadway Street between Gibbs and Allen

10:00 pm

The fireworks will be launched from the green space on the west side of the Fort Meigs Memorial Bridge near Rapids Road. Parking will not be permitted along Rapids Road, and spectators will not be allowed on the bridge because it is within the designated safety zone.

On Perrysburg Side: Access to the multi-use path from the Fort Meigs Memorial Bridge and the walleye fishing parking lot will also be temporarily closed before, during and after the display.
