Probation Division
The Maumee Municipal Court Probation Division was established in April of 1993. Currently, there are three full-time probation officers on staff.
The Probation Division offers many programs and services in addition to basic supervision. At the pretrial stage, individuals are monitored on Own Recognizance bonds, Monitored Bonds, and Supervised Bonds. Conditions of bond include drug testing, participation in court-ordered groups and counseling, being monitoring on SCRAM and/or GPS tracking.
Once sentenced and placed on probation, there are numerous conditions to which a defendant may be sentenced. In addition to the pretrial conditions cited above, a defendant could be ordered to: drug and alcohol treatment, a 72-hour Driver’s Intervention Program, attend AA meetings, participate in mental health counseling, complete parenting classes, obtain a GED/diploma, maintain employment, obtain a valid driver’s license, or be placed on intensive supervision probation.
