
MAUMEE, OH— Maumee City Administrator Dr. Patrick Burtch has formally announced his retirement, effective August 16, 2025.
The announcement was made following City Council approval to enter into a retirement agreement during the July 22 special council meeting.
Dr. Burtch has served the City of Maumee with dedication and vision. During his tenure, he was a driving force behind several transformational initiatives that enhanced safety, improved infrastructure, and increased the overall quality of life for residents. He is credited with making Maumee a safer, more attractive community and helping to revitalize the local economy by supporting new business development, housing growth, and job creation.
“The City of Maumee is grateful for Dr. Burtch’s tireless service and leadership,” said Mayor Jim MacDonald. “His commitment to progress and community well-being has made a lasting impact on our city.”
Plans regarding the transition process for Dr. Burtch’s replacement will be discussed in the coming weeks.
