In 2025, our community experienced its first major wave of invasive spotted lanternflies and experts predict their numbers to grow even more this year. Taking action now can help to slow their spread and reduce populations. One of the most effective steps a resident can take is to build a simple, safe Spotted Lanternfly Trap.

Join community experts Mark Irmen and Phil Kirk for a special workshop where you will learn how to build a trap, plus hear more about these invasive pests, and the steps the city is taking to deal with the problem.

The Maumee Environmental & Tree Advisory Commission has teamed up with the Rotary Club of Maumee to present this important information, and we invite everyone to come and learn how to become part of the solution.
