DESCRIPTION:The City of Maumee has teamed with Maumee Tackle Fishing Outfitters\, Run Toledo\, The Maumee Chamber of Commerce\, and the Maumee Uptown Business Association to launch a brand-new spring tradition: the Maumee River Fest\, taking place on Saturday\, April 11\, 2026\, in Uptown Maumee. \nThis unique celebration brings together three signature elements: community fun\, a fishing tournament weigh-in\, and the debut of the Walleye Run 5K\, all inspired by the energy and excitement of the annual Walleye Run on the Maumee River. From families and festival-goers to anglers and runners\, the Maumee River Fest is designed to offer something for everyone.\nCommunity Fun & Family Activities: Uptown Maumee will host a lively mix of food trucks\, local vendors\, kids’ crafts and activities\, and DORA beverages. \nFishing Tournament hosted by Maumee Tackle (104 W. Wayne St.): A highlight for anglers\, with fishing beginning at sunrise. The official weigh-in will take place at 3:00 PM\, giving spectators a front-row look at the excitement of the Walleye Run.\nThe First-Ever Walleye Run 5K: Runners make their way throughout Maumee. SUMMARY:Independence Day Celebrated with Music\, Games\, & Fireworks
DESCRIPTION:The annual Uptown Maumee Music Fest and Family Picnic will take place on Friday\, July 3rd\, featuring live music and kids’ activities\, and a spectacular fireworks show. \nUptown Maumee Music Fest: Live music begins at 5:00 PM and continues until 11:30 PM.  The live music lineup is: \n\n5-6 pm                         Distant Cousinz\n6:15-7:15 pm              Beef Carvers\n7:30-8:30 pm              My 80s Vice\n9-11:30 pm                 Arctic Clam (break from 10-10:30 for fireworks)\n\nFamily Picnic: From 5 to 9 PM\, enjoy loads of family fun before the fireworks show with classic carnival games\, putt-putt golf\, giant inflatables\, an obstacle course\, and a slide. \nFood & Drinks: 17 delicious food trucks will be on hand\, offering both sweet & savory options. Also\, this year’s festival will feature two beer-and-soda trailer sites. \n  \nIndependence Day Fireworks: At approximately 10 PM\, the traditional Maumee/Perrysburg fireworks will blast off from Perrysburg near the Fort Meigs Memorial Bridge. \nUptown Bars & Restaurants: Local bars & restaurants will be busy serving food & drinks\, and patrons over 21 may purchase an adult beverage to enjoy while strolling throughout Uptown\, thanks to DORA (Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area) participating establishments. \n  \n  \nAdditional Information: Traffic Pattern/Street Closures \n  \nAt 7 a.m.: the bridge will close to pedestrian and bike traffic. This is needed to maintain a safety zone/perimeter\, which includes the bridge. \nAT NOON \n\nConant Street between Broadway and John Streets\n100 blocks of E. & W. Dudley\n100 blocks of E. & W. Wayne\nAnthony Wayne Trail at Conant Street will be closed to southbound traffic\n\n  \n  \n7:00 pm \n\nThe Fort Meigs Memorial Bridge will close to vehicle traffic. The bridge will reopen after the fireworks display is completed and the area has been cleared of debris\nBroadway Street between Gibbs and Allen\n\n10:00 pm \nThe fireworks will be launched from the green space on the west side of the Fort Meigs Memorial Bridge near Rapids Road. Parking will not be permitted along Rapids Road\, and spectators will not be allowed on the bridge because it is within the designated safety zone. \nOn Perrysburg Side: Access to the multi-use path from the Fort Meigs Memorial Bridge and the walleye fishing parking lot will also be temporarily closed before\, during and after the display.
