Sealed bids for furnishing of equipment, labor and materials for pavement paint markings on Maumee Streets will be received by the Capital Projects Manager of the City of Maumee, Ohio in his office at 400 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio, 43537-3379, August 29, 2023, at 9:00 A.M. and at that time and place will be publicly opened and read aloud.

All bids must be signed and submitted on copies or originals of the blanks in the contract documents. Bids must state prices in the blanks provided and be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked: “City of Maumee – 2023 Pavement Marking Program”, and addressed to the Capital Projects Manager, City of Maumee, 400 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio 43537-3379.

Each bid must be accompanied by either a bid bond in an amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid amount with a surety satisfactory to the aforesaid City of Maumee, or certified check, cashier’s check, or letter of credit upon a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the bid in favor of the aforesaid City of Maumee. Bid bonds shall be accompanied by proof of authority of the official or agent signing the bond.

Attention of bidders is called to all requirements contained in this bid packet, particularly to the Prevailing Wages, various insurance requirements, and the requirement for a payment bond and performance bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.

Bids received after the scheduled bid opening date and time, or not accompanied by a satisfactory bid bond or check, will neither be read nor considered.

The City of Maumee reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive any irregularity in any bid and to determine the lowest and best bidder.

Electronic copies of the bid package will be made available, free of charge, to interested parties who contact the City of Maumee at providing the name of the requestor, the name of the bidding company, and their contact information.

The contractor shall be pre-qualified with the Ohio Department of Transportation.
