SET A SAFE EXAMPLE FOR CHILDREN!
If
you use Trick or Novelty items, children may imitate you, not
realizing how dangerous these items are.
The highest injury rates from fireworks are for children ages
5 to 9. The risk of
fire death relative to exposure shows fireworks as the riskiest
consumer product! REMEMBER:
Ü
Children
should not be allowed to ignite or set off fireworks, and they
should never have them without adult supervision.
Ü
Do
Not
stand near the fireworks after they are ignited.
Ü
Never
ignite fireworks inside any building or vehicle.
Ü
Never
re-light
a “dud”.
Ü
Soak
used items in a bucket of water then dispose of them.
Ü
Keep
matches and lighters out of a child’s reach!
Ü
If
someone gets burned, run cool water over the burn for 3-5 minutes;
seek medical attention if necessary.
